a. KEF is still active in providing relief to the flood victims in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Southern Punjab.
b. On 2nd October, friends from KEF-US visited the flood relief victims along with KEF relief team to assist them.
c. IOM (International Organisation for Migration) donated 1000 ration kits to KEF Relief for flood victims.
d. Following number of ration kits were distributed by the KEF relief team:
i. 100 of 35 kg each in Skardu (Northern Area).
ii. 10 in Batkhaila.
iii. 400 in Nowshera.
e. Other than dry food items, tents and clothes were sent to Sahar Sultan, Muzaffargarh (Punjab) for about 20 families and 475 families in Charsada.
f. Special separate distribution was also carried out at Lawyers’ Chambers in Charsada for the flood affected lawyers.
g. KEF relief team is still sorting and distributing relief goods received from KEF UK. Seven additional pallets of relief goods have been received from KEF-UK at Lahore, by PIA. Another 20 feet container of relief goods has also arrived at Karachi by ship.
h. Survey has also been carried out in AJ&K where hundreds of houses are completely destroyed due to heavy rains and land sliding. KEF will try to reach out to those affected people, subject to the availability of resources for reconstruction in these areas.
